How to reclaim space on a zfs made by proxmox?

I recreated a proxmox server that was in a cluster. I restored all the vm's on a zfs pool, the same pool that proxmox is installed on. Then I made the error of rejoining the cluster after I restored all the VM's. I went to the datacenter > storage > and added the zfs pool and I'm restoring the VM's but despite deleting the files in /dev/rpool/data and /dev/rpool/ the space still wasn't reclaimed. Is there another way to get back the space from the old VM's?

You can inspect the storage in PVE and delete images there or you can go to the CLI and inspect it with zfs (see man zfs for instructions)
