How to make EFI boot retry forever and not get stuck in the shell ?

Hi,

I have been doing experimentation with netbooting (using ipxe to boot ISOs and liveusb and eventually netboot to iscsi)

I'm trying both bios and efi VMs.

And I notice that the bios VM, never give up, unless you boot into something that hangs, they never stop trying to boot.

However the efi VMs. generally try the boot devices one and then give up.

How can I make the efi VM retry booting forever and don't go into the efi shell unless I ask ?
