Hi,

I would like to ask what's the easiest method to deploy new nodes with limited version updates ?
Let's say I install proxmox VE 7.0 on to the node, and after that the node needs to be updated only with the updates that are released till 2021-07-30.
We have a few clusters and we want our nodes to be updated with the same exact version at all times.

hi,

you shouldn't hold back on upgrades unless you have a good reason.

We have a few clusters and we want our nodes to be updated with the same exact version at all times.
you can do that by always upgrading to the latest versions :)

but to answer your question, you could hold specific packages with apt to avoid upgrading those, however still not recommended as you'll be missing out on security updates and bugfixes as well.

if you want stable packages then i recommend the enterprise repository [0] as the packages there are tested more thoroughly.
