I am trying to install Proxmox 8 on the HP ProLiant DL380 G7 server, and after selecting the installation option, the message Not optimum mode, recommended mode, 1920x1080 60Hz appears on the monitor, what could be the problem?

As far as I understand, the problem arises due to the fact that when the installer starts, it puts a video driver that cannot work with the video card of this server?

Is there a way around this problem?

Hi,

I am trying to install Proxmox 8 on the HP ProLiant DL380 G7 server, and after selecting the installation option, the message Not optimum mode, recommended mode, 1920x1080 60Hz appears on the monitor, what could be the problem?
So you get no just a black screen with that message from the monitor?

You can try the following and see if that works for you:
In the bootloader, select "Advanced Options" instead and then "Install Proxmox VE (Console Mode - nomodeset)".

This avoids loading any graphics drivers and you might be able to proceed with the installation. These chipsets in the these older servers can unfortunately be somewhat problematic.

When using the "Install Proxmox VE (Console Mode - nomodeset)" mode, I also don't see the image on the screen.
I solved the problem this way. I started the installation on another machine (where everything is fine with the output to the screen) and pressed the same keys on the problematic server. in general, it was possible to install blindly) In an already installed operating system, there were no such problems.
