Hello, I'm new to pve, I'm running several vms in pve, such as ubuntu-server, windows 10.

My cpu is j4125, it has 4c4t, basic frequency is 2.0G, can boost up to 2.6G in pve host, but only 2.0G constantly in vms.

here are some information:

In pve host, cat /proc/cpuinfo, one of cores as below:
Bash:
processor : 0
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 6

power management:

cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep "MHz"
cpu MHz : 1818.629
cpu MHz : 1878.818
cpu MHz : 2372.414
cpu MHz : 2473.969

Min frequency is 800MHz, so it's between 800 to 2.6G.

cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_governors
performance powersave

cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor
performance

In ubuntu-server vm, cpu type is "host":
cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep "MHz"
cpu MHz : 1996.800
cpu MHz : 1996.800

The value "1996.800" will not change.

In win 10 vm, cpu type is "host" as well:

So it seems that turbo/boost not enable in vm, am I missing something? or anything should I check/do?

best regards.
