How to Download the Dumps / Backup

How could someone download a backup through http://IP?

I mean, since a VM dump is done, an user may want to download it. However, I could not figure out a way to download it except by an FTP client. The issue is that downloading it this way takes me ages to get it done. Thereafter, I would like some help on figuring out the best way to download the dumps by HTTP instead of FTP. It would be great placing the dumps on a public folder and let an user download it, and then remove it from there. Any other solution would be appreciated as well.

Please consider explaining how to accomplish it.

Cannot imagine why and why http should be significantly faster. If you don't like ftp use sftp.....
