How to define a backup job (PVE), for manual execution only, not on a fixed schedule

I've just set up PBS for my PVE and am looking for a method to define a backup job where I can choose a number of VM/CT and back these up to PBS. I want to start the process manually, not on a fixed schedule automatically.

I could do this per VM/CT manually under "Backup", but under "Datacenter", "Backup", "Backup Job" I can define one for multiple targets at once. However, this allows only the definition with on a schedule.

Is there a method to add a backup job for multiple VM/CT from PVE to backup manually to PBS?

Hi, you could define a backup job under Datacenter > Backup > Backup Job with any kind of schedule. Then un-check the "Enable" checkbox in the job settings. Now you have a backup job that won't run automatically.

To start your backup manually, select the job in the job list and click "Run now".
