[SOLVED] How to custom default backup storage in VE ?

Hi everyone,

I'm running "Virtual Environment 8.4.1".

When I click on a VM and then "Backup", I have this normal interface :


But, my question is : How can I change the default location of the backup ?

Because I only backup my vms on a PBS and not on the local installation.

Hi,

there is unfortunately no default setting for any storage (anywhere).
I see two options therefore: first, rename (aka remove and re-add) your backup storage to start with a letter from a-k.
second, create backup jobs on datacenter level, disable them, if no regular backup is needed and just start them manually (from there).

I forgot to mention. You can also disable the VZDump content type for local in Datacenter > Storage so it does not even show up as an option at all.
