How to create a “virtual router” to get more IP addresses

Hi everyone!

I have a question about how to get more IP addresses in Proxmox on local network. I look at the “Firewall” settings at my Proxmox servers but I’m not sure if I am at the right spot and scared about playing with theses settings without knowing what exactly what I’m doing.

It is possible to create somewhere a kind of “virtual router” to be able to assign 192.168.3.1 as gateway instead the physical router gateway 192.168.2.1 and having some servers with 192.168.3.x addressing instead 192.168.2.x to save some IP from the 192.168.2.1 gateway ?

Thanks in advance to all for their help!

I would suggest you change the netmask at your router instead (for example to 255.255.240.0).
