How to connect to internet with my VM in Proxmox?

I viewed several YT video's about the setup and in non of those video's was mentioned how to connect the virtual machine to the internet.
I could not find it by using the search engines either. What i am looking for is a manual or video how to connect the virtual machine to the internet so I can download en update in the VM's.

Can you please share the network configuration of your Proxmox VE server `cat /etc/network/interfaces`?

Thanks for the reply.
I just found out that the port of the router which was going to the proxmox VE install has no signal but a led burns so I presumed that it worked.
Now the networkcable is put in another port it just works fine.
