I installed debian, I encrypted the disk in the installation and then I installed proxmox.

I installed it as you put in this link
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_Stretch

But when I create a bakcup of a machine, it does not send me emails. On the other hand if I install proxmox from the web page, the iso that you facilitate, and I create a backup, if you send the confirmation email.

Where do I configure in my debian encrypted with proxmox so that it sends emails when a backup finishes?

Hi,

are you sure you install postfix?
If yes do you configure it correctly and does it work?
Is the email for the root user set?

Yes, I have installed postfix.

My main.cf configuration is the same as that of a virgin proxmox that I have installed.

I do not understand the last thing, how it is configured for the root user the mail

You can set the email of the root user under Datacenter->Permissons->User->root

What I have done has been to configure the debian encrypted the main.cf like that of a proxmox, and now I have reviewed what you have said, and still does not send an email when a backup ends
