I have convert (P2V) and currently, its VM is running in my proxmox, but the disk size is 1050 GB, I want to resize the disk to 400 GB, does anyone know the steps? Can you help me?

thanks.

This is a guest OS problem, not a PVE problem. Best would be to use the guest OS backup facilities and restore the OS to a smaller disk.

Resizing the guest OS "as-is" can work, but is heavily dependent on the guest OS itself. What is your guest os?

The guest OS is Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS (GNU / Linux 3.19.0-25-generic x86_64).

I want to reduce/ shrink the disk from 1050 GB to 400 GB.

can you tell me the steps?

Thanks before,

Best Regards,
