How to change IP? (for login and system)

Hi,

i do not know how to change IP.
At the moment I'm 192.168.0.102:8006
I want to have an IP provider. And so log on. That is 7x.xx.x.x.6:8006
When changed in the panel everything fell apart.
Have to do it from the command line?

Hi,

If you change the IP address you have also modify the /etc/hosts file and update the IP address in this file.

I have modified:
/etc/network/interfaces
/etc/hosts
