i have a dell r720 running proxmox. Created the raid with a perc h710p.
I have proxmox installed on a 500GB SSD. All of my VMs get saved on it too. I also have a four disk raid 10.
Went on the web GUI and initialized the RAID.
I googled it and searched around and all I could find was create a partition with fdisk. So I did. I turned my 1TB RAID 10 into a Linux LVM.
Then it said add your entry to etc/fstab.
Which I did. I've never done this though, so I might have done it wrong.
/dev/sdb1 /media/RAID10/ LVM defaults 0 0
Then I saved and rebooted.
Web GUI still doesn't show my raid as a drive option.
When I go onto my proxmox node and click disks, it shows the raid. It can recognize the disks im just not doing something right to be able to use the array.
I'm trying to get this raid to be useable so I can back up all of my VMs to it.
I also noticed that when I have that line in fstab, proxmox boots into emergency mode.
When I comment out the line it boots into normal mode.
So something is wrong there.
