Hello Everyone

How can I know whether PVE performs a full backup or incremental backup during the backup process?
Or where can I check the previous backup was a full backup or incremental backup?
Or where can I set full backup or incremental backup when creating the backup plan? When I was creating the backup plan, I couldn't seem to find the option for setting full or incremental.

thanks

use you local or internal method, then you get a full backup always.
If you have a Proxmox Backupserver and as Storrage full SSD, you have a fast full backup with deduplication of your data. in some case i can say its a "incremental backup", because only changed data chunks of aprox. 4M size will be saved on the Proxmox BS.

Hey,

all backups are full. PBS just does not store the same data twice. Each backup is full and does not depend on any earlier backups being present. For some technical background you can take a look at [1]. Hope this makes sense.
