Hi, I am newbee to this forum and to virtualization per se.
Firstly I wanted to thank Developers team to create great product. Ive read many reviews about Proxmox and they are very promising.

Yet, I couldn't find the answer to my questions about how safety is to build personal VPS platform (build not for selling, but rather for my company projects).
I want to focus here on reability here, not on speed and other issues.

So here the plans:
I would like to build one realiable "Cloud" where I could run few VM guests. "Cloud" could be build on one OR two HOST/Nodes . "Cloud" consist of few virtual instances/guest. Each guest dont require much power nor storage place.
But each require an absolute 99.99% net avaliability (optimally 101% ;) )

I can buy one dedicated or if required Ill have budget to buy second. Each can have 4 HT cores and minimum of 8-16G RAM.

Ill choose SSD drives in RAID1 to further (in my opinion) maximize reability (speed also). Each server/node have access to an FTP with equal storage space as node itself.

So following building block are available: 1 or 2 Hosts, FTP storage.

How can I use Proxmox to meet this criteria.

How easy is to backup virtual mashines and than to restore them?

Can I use two hosts behind FailoverIP ? Does those two hosts can syncronize itself to be exact copy of eachother?

I understand its not possible to have 100% avaliability but I want to minimize the downtime to minimum, even when one host dies.
Could Some of You share some thoughts about this please?

Kind regards,
Piotr
