I have been struggling with my virtual network performance for a while now, detailed here (TLDNR - all connections over a virtual bridge are slow {VM to VM or VM to intranet} but Proxmox host is fast):

To help me diagnose I did a clean install, no improvement. Then I did a clean install of 6.4 and it worked great for both CPU load and virtual network speed. I changed absolutely nothing between the two installs using the same config files and network settings.
I have seen this post about the scheduler and with 7.3 my cpu is set to performance for all cores.

I know my hardware is older and some consider under powered but it works great with 6.4.
