Hello,
Despite all my research and testing, I’m still stuck on my SDN settings. SDNs are still quite unclear to me in terms of configuration! I hope some of you will be able to help me
!
Objective: Create 2 SDN interfaces:
1 Local SDN per node with DHCP from the router and router gateway (to allow installing CT/VM locally on a node). Simple Zone type? Each node must have a different interface (router configurations differ depending on the node / Rights assignment per user).
I’ve tried creating simple zones so far but it’s impossible to use the DHCP and IP/Gateway from the router.
1 Global SDN for all nodes of type QNQ or VXLAN allowing CT/VM to obtain an IP address in the form 10.10.X.Y with Gateway in the form 10.10.X.1. No need for DHCP. CT/VM must be able to communicate with each other regardless of the nodes they are on. Must allow CT/VM to communicate with the router and therefore the internet.
I managed to do this partially with a simple zone but without the possibility for VM/CT to communicate with each other independently of the nodes they are on.
With QNQ and VXLAN I can get the CT/VM to communicate with each other regardless of the node they are on, but I can’t get them to communicate with the router/internet.
I’ve done so many different configuration tests that I’d have a hard time showing them all here… Could you guide me in creating/configuring these two SDNs?
If you need more information or have any questions, don’t hesitate!
Thank you very much for your help! And have a great day everyone!
