Help Recovering VM’s Without Backup

Hi everyone,

I’m a total rookie with Proxmox (hence the title) and in the process of creating a cluster and renaming the nodes I wiped out all of my VM’s that I had on the original node. I have been very careful and have not written anything to the disk since. All of the disk allocations still appears in the console so I guess what I really need help with is linking them to new virtual machines. Apologies for rambling. Thank you for any help.

Create a VM with the same ID and no disks then run qm rescan. For CTs it would be pct rescan.

Look into the bkpcrit script, point it to separate disk / NAS, run nightly in cron
