I am not sure if some one answers this issue already but I cannot found any where saying about it, might it's because my poor English or searched wrong key words.

My problem is I installed Proxmox Virtual Environment 4.2 from an ISO file on a 2T harddisk.
I had just replace it by a 8T harddisk, I copied the 2T HDD to 8T HDD by the dd command.
Now the promox boot successfully but it look like only 2T are installed.
How can I increase the Proxmox disk to the new size?

I ran lvs and got
root@mland:/# lvs

Hi,

you have to create an new partition first then extend the vg(volume) and then you can extend the lv(logical volume).
