A test env I am using right now with 2.3 we have three ceph servers, each with one hd for os,one mon, two osd (hd) with journal on the same osd disk (not best practice at all), two bonded nics. A quick dd creating 1gb file seeing 22/MBs from kvm guest using scsi driver. We are using this env to compare different ranges of hardware setup.
