Hello, there is a problem with the server backup. I think the problem is that it is not running, but I don't know what to do about it

Hi,

please provide some more information first, by posting the output of pveversion -v and cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg.
Also, are there any error messages in the syslog (journalctl -b) that hint at the cause?

Debian-104-buster-64-minimal
Reading the hostname .. buster is quite old and unsupported. Did you recently set up the node? Assuming you installed Debian first and then PVE on top?

Hi,

first of - please upgrade your machine. PVE 6.3 is long EOL, as well as the Debian version. So you don't receive any updates, neither goodies, bugfixes nor security(!) updates.

Please have a look at our detailed guides for that:
- Upgrade from 6.x to 7.0
- Upgrade from 7 to 8

Second, you seem to have made a typo in executing the second command: cat /etc/pve/storage.cfg
Please notice that it is /etc, not /atc.

Without that storage configuration, it's hard to tell anything about the problem.

please give advice on how to properly make a backup copy of the server in order to update it later

Hi,

you did you create the storage entry? Via the Web-UI? Did you double-check the credentials that they are correct?
Does ping u254394.your-storagebox.de work?

I don't have any experience with Hetzner's storage boxes, but apparently you might need to correct the storage path.
Have you searched for yourself before? There are lots of other threads on this forum regarding CIFS/Hetzner storage boxes :)
