Hi
I know is maybe not so good idea but I I trying to see if I can have both PBS and Storage on same drive.
When i install PBS I can change options for the disk to only give PBS 40 GB to install.
I then login to PBS and then from shell I create a partition from the space left on the disk.
But PBS does not let me use it, it just look for disk and not any partition so I wonder if I must have two disk in the computer to make it work?

The computer is not so big that I was thinking to use as Proxmox Backup server but I maybe have to look after another computer or trying to add another disk.

You can partition and format the disk manually using the CLI and then mount it using fstab. PBS just wants a folder for its datastore. It doesn't care about what underlaying storage or filesystem is used. The webUI of PVE/PBS only allows you to work with entire disks.

Ahh yes I can do that, thanks.
But my friend did remove the DVD driver and now we have space for another disk :)
But good to know.
