Hello Guys,
I'm ready to start deploy my first ProxmoxVE setup on a small company, managing 3 vm's.

1x Windwos server 2016
2x Linux lamp servers

Because I can't fail on hardware buy can you please give me an advise on the hardware setup?

I'want to use a single server with zfs and probably proxmox ve backup server on a older server.

New server setup will be:

ProductQty
UP SuperServer SYS-510T-MR1
1
Memory Type: 3200/2933/2666MHz ECC DDR4 UDIMM 16GB
4
Intel HDS-IMN0-SSDPELKX010T8 M.2 DRIVE
1
Western Digital Gold SATA WD2005FBYZ 2TB
4

Thanks for support.

I wouldn't run a VM of HDDs these days. You really should consider buying some enterprise SSDs. Atleast 2 or 4 (for a mirror or striped mirror) SATA/SAS ones instead of HDDs if you can't afford NVMe for that. And PBS should use SSDs too if you care about downtimes.

Your server would be perfect (I love Supermicro!). For me proxmox is not very hardware selective. (Compare to E..s..x........).
Be sure to take the package Enterprise to keep your system up to date and secure. ;)
