hardware RAID / EXT4 partition

Hello,

I would like to know your advice on this best practice

question :
- I have a 24 To ext4 Datastore (on one partition) with hardware RAID 6.

Do i need to make multiple datastores on this partition or just put all the backups
in this one is ok?

Depends on your need. If u need the same retention policy and access rights for all the vm than one datastore is enough.
