HA option

Hi all,

I have some questions about the HA option in Proxmox:

1. Is the HA option available with the community license?
2. HA means only the VM is automatically restarted on one of the remaining Proxmox VE Cluster physical nodes, if the virtual machine (VM) is failing on a physical host, correct?
3. It is possible to have a real HA, without downtime?
4. How can I configure the HA option on Proxmox?

Many thanks & best regards

1. Is the HA option available with the community license?
Proxmox VE is under AGPLv3 and includes all features.

2. HA means only the VM is automatically restarted on one of the remaining Proxmox VE Cluster physical nodes, if the virtual machine (VM) is failing on a physical host, correct?
If the physical host failed and if HA is configured for that resource (VM/CT) then it will be relocated. Or to keep the resource in a desired state (eg. running), but it doesn't take care about the OS inside.

t is possible to have a real HA, without downtime?
What do you mean by 'real HA'? I guess, HA with fault tolerance? If the later, than no. Error detection and failover time of about 2 minutes.

4. How can I configure the HA option on Proxmox?
See the link.
