Need help. Long time Proxmox user. Just built a new machine and moved all the VM's over to it. These are all functioning VM's that supported ACPI shutdowns which worked well under 3.4. Now I have 4.0 and when I shutdown the node it halts all the VM's. Each of them complain about not being shutdown properly the next time I startup. This actually caused a significant problem with my fileserver in which I had to recover some files (thanks Snapraid).
The shutdown used to take about 2 minutes but now is almost instantenous. I have one Windows 7 guest which takes about 45 seconds to shutdown. It is gone once I shutdown the node immediately.
What's odd is that if I select the VM and click the shutdown button for it individually, everything works fine. Only the node shutdown button abruptly halts the VM's and immediately shutdown.
The reason this is an issue is that I am on a UPS. If the UPS sees a power event, I'm afraid it will shut all the VM's down the wrong way.
Anyone having this issue? I may have to go back to 3.4...
