Guest cannot ping Hosted machine

Hello,

I am newby and i have a little experience with NetWorking (i am a web programer), and it was many days trying to resolve my problem without success, finally i decided to write my first thread here, hoping finding my needs and being the best decision to ask my needs here.

My problem is that, i cannot reach the host machine (see configuration in attached screenshot) by ping from all guests.

My Vm-102 is related to the vmbr1, # ip r; result is in attached screenshot.

Thank you for the output of the network configuration!

What says the ping command?
Do you check the firewall on the Proxmox VE node?

Can you also post the output of ip a from the server side?

These are very cheap, but kind of time intensive methods of managing your network. They are pretty secure too. Ping in these pfSense setups is managed with ICMP echorequest and ICMP echoreply firewall rules. They do not have a specific port, but are instead a protocol that is either allowed or denied, and are denied by default unless an outbound connection initiates them. It could be that your home router is denying these ICMP requests, and you are incapable of creating ICMP allow rules because ISP provided routers really suck. You could also try running pfSense in a proxmox virtual machine, which is what I am here to troubleshoot today. Good luck!
