Maybe explain this to me like I'm five.

I create a group

and it's listed there nicely:

but now I can't figure out how to add permissions to it! If I edit the vm_users group, all I get is

So I figure I'll check the documentation available, right? I must have missed some step or some preparatory thing or other, obviously....

except this is the sum total of what it says about groups!

So is there somewhere else I should look for step by step instructions (preferably with pictures, because I am five)
on how to add permissions to groups?

I had similar difficulties with direct permissions on users. For example the root user shows this:

OK. So I have a local user created on the shell account, with sudo permissions (tho I had to add sudo b/c it's a debian install), and added the user via the user interface on the webui as well. I made sure this user was in the PAM realm. But the permissions of THIS user... even tho it has / assigned, does not have all the items underneat. I DID check that the propagate was checked as shown below. So what step am I missing? Again, the help button here has a super brief description of User, with no notation about adding permissions.

The Roles look promising, but I see no way to add roles to either groups or users!

Thanks for your help!
