Hi,

I have virtualised a Windows 2003 server and everything has gone well up until now.

I am trying to get the VPN that it was running working again, initially I was on Proxmox 1.5 and I believe it is a GRE issue. I have been all through the forum and I found a note that GRE was supported in guests in 1.7 so I have upgraded the platform here to 1.7 and still having problems, is it supposed to just work or do I need to issue a command somewhere?

Any help appreciated! :)

Doh!

This turned out not to be a KVM/Proxmox issue after all but a stroppy router that had behaved itself previously decided to act up. This does explain the VERY odd results I was getting...

So to answer my own question :) To get GRE support for a KVM guest simply use a bridged connection and make sure your router isn't acting up :)

(oh you will need to configure the router to allow VPN passtru if you haven't already) :)
