When you're passing through your GPU to your LXC, how much do you have to actually install on the host proxmox? I know I need the nvidia drivers installed on the host proxmox AND the lxc, but do I have to also have the nvidia-toolkit, cuda, nvidia-smi, etc also installed on the host proxmox? Can those just be on the LXC instead? I'm still learning this stuff and just finally proud that I got the GPU passed through

For LXC you install same driver in host as well as guest. (`nvidia-smi` is part of driver) If you need cuda, install cuda in guest (without driver).

Thank you for your time and thoughtful reply! While I was sure that the drivers needed to be installed, I was having a rough time figuring out whether or not cuda, the toolkit, or nvidia-smi needed to be installed. While I did have it working I do get things wrong when setting stuff up, so when I did my experimenting, between setting things up wrong and just trying to learn I wasn't sure. Thank you again for it all. I do have it working how you described also!
