I have a cluster running which has pending updates including the kernel that would require a reboot. Unfortunately I cannot reboot at this time so would it be safe to just run the following command?

Code:
apt-get install --only-upgrade libc6

Do I need to restart any services to make sure proxmox is safe from this particular vulnerability?

Thanks,
Eric

You must not upgrade your server, so wait for your servicetime and then upgrade safe your cluster. Or just add an cron for automaticly reboot at night, we do this. But after update, you must not reboot your machine. You can when you would like to use the new kernel or some new programm versions, but you must not.
