Gibt es einen Zeitplan / Laufzeit für einen PBS Job?

ich habe ein 2 Node Cluster mit NAS und Hetzner Cloud Anbindung.

Die Datensicherung auf die NAS läuft jeden Abend von 21 Uhr an so ca. 15 Minuten.

Jetzt wollte ich ab 22 Uhr die Sicherung in die Cloud starten, da aber nicht weiss wie lange die Sicherung in die Cloud dauert wollte ich einen Zeitraum ( von 22:00 Uhr bis 6 Uhr ) angeben wie die Sicherung laufen darf. Geht das? Veeam kann das und das fand ich immer ganz toll. So kann man dafür sorgen das die Cloudsicherung nicht Tagsüber läuft und den Betrieb stört.
 
Willst du etwa direkt in die Cloud sichern? Wieso denn kein Backup Copy wie bei Veeam?

Wir haben Veeam bei diesem Kunden nicht im Einsatz und würden gerne eine Direktsicherung in die Cloud machen.
Ich denke ich werden die Erste Sicherung am Freitag Nacht starten, sollte der Upload in die Hetzner Cloud klappen.
Also einen Zeitplan in dem man die Sicherung laufen lassen kann gibt es beim PBS nicht odeR?
 
Ich könnte natürlich auch von der QNAP NAS in die Cloud sichern, aber wenn das mit dem PBS direkt geht wäre das auch eine gute Lösung.
Ich habe die StorageBox bereits als Datastore eingerichtet.
ich teste das mal mit einer kleinen VM mit 20 GB. Wenn das klappt erweitere ich den Job um eine weitere VM. ;)
Mal schauen wir es läuft.
 
Mir ist da noch nix aufgefallen, aber mach es doch wie alle anderen Menschen. Nutze die Sync technologie im PBS. Dann ist es egal, wie lange es dauert.
Ich limitiere dann auf der Firewall einfach die Bandbreite für diese Verbindung tagsüber und dann läuft es dann langsamer, aber niemand merkt etwas.

Ja, das ist sicherlich eine gute Funktion, aber dafür benötigt man einen PBS in der Cloud mit VPN-Anbindung.
Ich arbeite aktuell mit "SMB / CIFS" StorageBox von Hetzner. Oder S3 Storage von Hetzner oder AWS.
 
Die erste Sicherung in die Cloud ist durch und hat 35 Minuten für 20 GB gedauert.
Das war eine VM mit einen Debian mit 20 GB Harddisk ohne Discard, das habe ich jetzt noch eingestellt.
Habe direkt noch 2 weitere VMs mit ingesamt 40 GB mit Discard Harddisk dazu gepackt und gestartet.
 
Die 2te VM mit 20 GB mit Discard Harddisk hat nur 6:20 Minuten für den Upload in die Cloud gebraucht:

Ich muss sagen das läuft wirklich gut mit der Sicherung in die Hetzner Cloud (StorageBox)

Habe jetzt 3 VM´s gesichert und es geht wirklich schnell.

Die Dedublizierung und das Discard macht da wohl einen richtig guten Job.

80 GB Harddisk mit Dedublizierung und Discard in unter 11 Minuten in die Cloud.

Das ist echt nicht schlecht, oder sogar gut ;)

Oh, da habe ich mich wohl vertan, es war nur ein inkremmentells Backup.

Die Sicherung der VM. mit 80 GB hat dann doch 1:44 Stunde gedauert ;)

Hätte mich auch gewundert.
