Are you using the newest proxmox iso? Does the usb stick you are booting from work correctly on other hardware (by this i just mean: can you get into the gui installer on other machines from this stick)? If you make a Debian boot usb stick, does that installer work (if yes, you can install proxmox on top of debian)
