Fwupdmgr on PVE: Older Version in Repo?

I noticed that the version of fwupdmgr (the fwupd package) in the Proxmox repos is a bit outdated. It looks like it comes from February 2023.

Is there a way (alternate repo/PPA/etc.) to get a newer version of the fwupdmgr package through apt?

OTOH, it looks like Proxmox has forked and maintains its own fork of fwupdmgr . Does that mean we shouldn't try building a newer one?

The package isn't installed at all, not needed by pve and I even never needed in last 30years because most devices bring their own install tools which ever again are incompatible to fwupd, so this tool is really quiet useless.
