Hi,
I just noticed that Proxmox allows me to make a clone of a Virtual Machine without powering it off, first.
When the clone finished, i've read in the journal log the following:
Code:
Oct 03 13:26:54 vm1 pvedaemon[7061]: found pending changes, discarding for clone

Does it means that Proxmox is able to take a clone of a running machine safely?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the noobish question.

Yes, it can safely clone, but all changes done that require a restart are discarded for the new clone.

Thanks for answering, but i did not understood what do you mean by "changes done that require a restart".
Could you be more specific?

If you change anything in the hardware tab the changes will be pending, meaning only changed once you restart/shutdown your VM.
