Fresh installation failure due to pve-firmware installation failure

I am trying to install (8.2-2 installer) onto a Dell R730 Gen13. Close to the very end of the USB based installation I get the error that the installation failed "installation of package pve-firmware_3.11-1_all.deb failed"

Has anyone else seen this and know a workaround?

No, I've never seen that. First idea: your installation source is damaged.

Verify the checksum of your download as listed at https://www.proxmox.com/en/downloads

Verify your USB stick..., or use another one.

If I remember correctly there is a "validate source" offered when booting the installation stick. Did you do this? (Maybe my memory is wrong...)
