I'm trying to install Proxmox on a PC i just threw together. Unfortuently for some reason it wont boot after it has installed even though the installation goes without a hitch.
I originally tried install Proxmox to a spare 62GB USB I had lying around however it had issues writing the boot partition. I then instead tried install to a internal HDD and that goes without a problem. The issue appears when I then reboot, I continually get thrown back to my BIOS screen since it can't find a boot record. It's worth noting at this point that this is the ONLY HDD I have plugged in apart from the USB I'm installing from.
I've tried using the Boot-Repair-Disk however this hasn't helped fix the issue either.
I have a feeling the problem could be with my mobo (I'm using a ASUS B8SM-E) as I had some issues installed other *nix OS' onto it.
This configuration (One HDD plugged in with this mobo/RAM/CPU) has worked fine with both Ubuntu and XenServer.
I've tried formatting the HDD (Using a live Ubuntu USB) but this hasn't helped either.
Any ideas?
