I wanna install Proxmox VE on my Corsair AI W300. Running into a few problems. First I'll see "/boot/ not found" when booting into the USB I made. It'll still however show the Proxmox Installer GUI. When i try to run the GUI installer I get two errors:

modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'andxdna': Unknown symbol in module, or unknow searching for block device containing the ISO proxmox-ve-9.1-1

However it will attempt again and find the ISO, I’m thinking this is cause the tool I used created multiple partitions on the USB. I’ll see:

testing device '/dev/sda' for ISO
found Proxmox VE ISO

Installation will still fail tho as I get the error:

Failed to get interface, index: No such device.

I’m thinking proxmox installer isn’t recognizing my NIC Card nor a direct Ethernet connection? As pinging to 1.1.1.1 fails

Any help I'd appreciate!

Hi,

first off, how did you create the USB installation medium? We have a dedicated guide for this: https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#installation_prepare_media

Failed to get interface, index: No such device.
when exactly do you get this error? At least it's not an error from our tooling, AFAICS.
Can you provide screenshot/photo of the entire installation log until it fails?

You can also try booting into debug mode (under Advanced Options in the GRUB menu) and provide the output of lsblk -S and ip link, which may help.

Using an 8GB USB:

- First attempt was with Rufus 4.11, similar to the issue I'm encountering now when I select graphical installation it will fail, haven't tried terminal.

- Second attempt I reformat the USB, this time I used Etcher (balenaEtcher) and it will also fail when attempting to run the graphical installer.

Reading the guide, when I select Graphical installation I'm to be prompted to accept an agreement and then select the hard disk(s) I want to use. Instead I get command/terminal screen as 'root@proxmox' with the text above.
