Forming a cloud

I see two ways of forming a cluster:

pvecm add - I can add the "master" node from each "slave" node
pvecm addnodes - I can add each "slave" node from the "master" node

So which way is the "preferred" way? Should I be doing both?

I appreciate the response. I had seen that document and that is what I went by. Now I am curious what "pvecm addnodes" is used for.

This is used internally (by 'pvecm add')
