Firwall iptables or nftables

I would like to know whether Proxmox 8.1.4 utilizes nftables or iptables for its firewall by default.

Hi,
at the moment, PVE still uses iptables, but a switch to nftables is currently being worked on, although I can't give a timeline on when that will be done.
