Firewire Drive

Proxmox doesnt recognize my external firewire drive.
I was going to use this for backups.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get proxmox to see my firewire drive ?
 
I would think the Linux kernel would need to support your firewire card.
If it is supported and proxmox doesn't show it as an install option, you could try installing Debian etch 64 bit (what proxmox is based on) to the firewire drive, and then add the Proxmox packages to turn it into proxmox ve...
