Hi all,
on my proxmox I have a pi-hole running, which is the DNS server in my network. pi-hole is running on ubuntu and in this vm I am using ufw as firewall. Everything is working fine.
Now I am thinking, of using the firewall in proxmox.
So I started with the following settings and I would assume, that everything should work:
Cluster:
Input Policy: Allow
Output Policy: Allow
VM:
Input Policy: Allow
Output Policy: Allow
But as soon, as I am activating the Firewall on Cluster level, the DNS requests are not working anymore. I can ping the VM, but DNS resolving is not working. I tried to deactivate the firewall on VM level, then on the network interface. But nothing helps. When I am deactivating the firewall on Cluster level, everything works fine again.
So I am totally confused, what I am doing wrong here.
