firefox 3.6.14 java applets NOT working, vm console not accessible. wait next release

my 1.7 says "You do not have write access." when opening kvm pve consoles

reverted to 3.6.13, now works as before.

as a work around, have you tried using chromium browser (apt-get install chromium-browser) ... or install Google Chrome for Ubuntu? That's what I use to access Proxmox ...

try getting an older .deb from the repo
http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/f/firefox/
and installing it manually using dpkg -i firefox-blablabla.deb
if it depends on some other old packages, also get them and install all of them at once.

Windows XP FireFox v3.6.14 and Java 6 RE Build 24 works fine with both consoles - VZ and QEMU.

Wow, there is a lot of chatter on this topic. Just to chime in: I have a PVE cluster. I only get that error when I do not execute commands from the cluster master. Otherwise, I've never had to deal with this error.

well, not all systems are the same, you know. and nobody said here it was a pve problem...
the bug was real, in fact, 3.6.15 got released really soon, for this. so, it was anyway better not install.
