Fingerprint of intermediate cert used

hello,
in our test environment pdm uses the intermediate certifiacte for the fingerprint and not the server certificate? Can someone confirm this (wrong) behavior, or is it a problem in out environment?

the pve hosts are sending the correct server and intermediate certs...
