So if you'll recall in the 2.x version, we saw a few changes. First, the port change for web gui, and second the change of the web server used to host the web gui.
Now, I happen to know what I actually need to do, but it's a bit long handed, and it's less than easy for newbies. What am I talking about? I'm talking about the requirement of https://IP:8006.
First, I'm not sure why we're using the port 8006, apart from maybe not chewing up port 80 for VMs?
Second, why is no redirection happening at the web server level?
I would like to request that we have some short hand implemented. One of two possible scenarios:
1) Enter IP into a web browser and redirects to https://IP:8006
2) Enter IP:8006 into web browser and it redirects to https://IP:8006
Now, I suspect there are very good reasons why it is how it is right now, but I don't know those reasons and I cannot come up with reasons myself that are really solid. So if this is just going to be the norm, by all means please let me know why, and perhaps we could put it on the wiki (if it is as of this writing, well wrap my wrists, I'm sorry).
Thanks for your consideration!
