Feature Request: Synology ActiveBackup Integration

I would love to see a partnership with Synology to build Proxmox as a target into ActiveBackup.

For Feature requests the Bug tracker at https://bugzilla.proxmox.com should be used.
Personally I don't see much benefit in a vendor-specific solution, an implementation of S3 support or rclone in PBS would be great though

Thanks for the URL. Vendor specific solutions would be better in the long run. If VMware could do it, I'm sure Proxmox can too.

Vmware has way more developers, so that's not a fair comparision. Why is a vendor-specific solution better? I prefer universal solutions, they make migrations easier and prevent vendor lockin

I am reasonably certain that VMware was not actively involved in advancing the integration with Synology. Things like these are usually driven by the backup vendors.
