Hi, I'm gonna keep this brief on detail just to favor more generic help, I've so far had luck with random post on this forums but not so much this time.
I have an EPYC 2nd gen on an H12 motherboard, I am trying to add the aforementioned NIC to a TrueNAS VM, that VM having currently a passed LSI HBA, which is why I'm so confused with why the NIC is failing to pass, other than it has 2 ports. The issue presents itself as a lost of function when starting the VM, with either IOMMU target of what port, All function on/off and PCI-Express in advanced option on/off. The server has to be shutdown and I had to disable virtualization options in BIOS to even get to proxmox UI without it bricking itself.
I have an inkling that the issue is related to Proxmox somehow not passing the card because Proxmox is using it but I'll see what people can suggest because I'm loosing my sh*t ATM.
Edit: Welp, found the NIC is in the same IOMMU group as the IPMI part of the board is what's I'm identifying, that's probably part of the issue.
