Failed to get D-Bus connection: Unknown error -1

After placing back backups of my containers running a ISPConfig multiserver setup, I now get this error when looking at a website setting. ISPConfig seems to work fine, but I would like to either remove the problem or the error. I also get this error occasionally in terminal.

Failed to get D-Bus connection: Unknown error -1

My containers are managed by Proxmox and run Debian 8.0.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

For some reason, systemd was installed.

apt-get remove --purge --auto-remove systemd

seemed to fix the problem.
