I followed the WIKI at the following page http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Vnc_2.0, but I get the error message "No valid VeNCrypt sub-type" when connecting via VNC to the Proxmox host.

I added the following to /etc/inetd.conf
5904 stream tcp nowait root /usr/sbin/qm qm vncproxy 104

The proxmox host has IP address 192.168.1.100
Via SSH I forward port 5904 on localhost to 192.168.1.100:5904

After setting up the SSH tunnel and trying to connect with TigerVNC 1.2.0 (64 bit on Windows 7) to 127.0.0.1:5904 (this is what I type in the text field) I get the error message "No valid VeNCrypt sub-type".

I don't know how to add 'root@pam' to the VNC client in case that would be the solution?

In case I try using the webbased Java VNC viewer via Proxmox web interface instead of TigerVNC client gives me the "Error: No password configured for VNC Auth"

Please help.
